The Alkaline Diet: Your Key to Losing Weight While Gaining Health

Take One Step at a Time

Don’t think that in order to benefit, that you have to eat 80% alkaline foods, or all raw foods.Dr. Shelton, in the early 1900’s advocated eating a diet consisting of all raw foods. The problem is that most Americans eat 80% acid forming foods and that is truly unhealthy! Strive to eliminate as much of the acid foods as you can. But don’t do it all at once. Go step by step. Eliminate one acid food. Hold on that level until you are comfortable and then you can eliminate the next food. If you go too fast you’ll fall backwards and have to start all over again. At the same time, start adding one alkaline food at a time substituting for the other acid foods that you’ve eliminated.
