Chocolate Milk Cured My Heartburn

I have been recently struggling with heartburn in the evenings. I do not tend to eat spicy foods or anything thing else that could normally be attributed to heartburn symptoms. I assume that my body must just be susceptible to heartburn. My grandmother told me to drink milk in the evenings to combat the burning sensations in my esophagus. I had been trying this for about six weeks with no positive results, when my wife suggested that I mix in a little chocolate syrup with my milk to see if it would help.
Well, lo and behold! After drinking a glass of chocolate milk, my heartburn that had been raging for nearly three hours simply went away. As the days went on, I continued my chocolate milk regimen and can proudly say that I have not experienced severe heartburn since.
In an effort to tweak my homemade medication, I have tried various brands of chocolate syrups and powders, as well as various brands of store-bought chocolate milk. In my experience so far, they all seem to work equally well. I am assuming that the extra sugar in the chocolate milk provides some advantage to curing my heartburn symptoms, over that of the reduced amount of sugar found in plain milk. I have since recommended this method to friends and associates who suffer from heartburn and they have all witnessed varying degrees of success. It is important to stress, however, that abstaining from spicy foods and getting regular exercise are a crucial part of the chocolate milk heartburn remedy. I recommend that anyone suffering from heartburn get on this regimen today!
