Healthy Banana Bread Recipe

This healthy banana bread recipe has become a family tradition. Whenever there are a few overripe bananas we turn them into this healthy banana bread.

Ingredients:

  • 2 or 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 cup oats, old fashioned
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/3 cup walnuts chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Combine wet ingredients in a bowl and dry ingredients in another bowl.
  • Slowly add dry ingredients to the wet.
  • Pour into loaf pan and cook about 15-20 minutes.
