Healthy Cookie Recipes
Try making these healthy cookie recipes for your kids so that they get nutritional value from their snacks.
Oatmeal Carrot Cookies with Raisins
Ingredients:
- 3 cups grated Carrots
- 2 cups Oat Flour
- 1 cup Long Cooking Oatmeal
- 1 cup Vegetable Oil
- 4 Eggs
- 2 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Applesauce, unsweetened
- 2 cups Raisins-(not packed)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 Combine: grated Carrots Egg Vegetable Oil Unsweetened Applesauce
- In another bowl combine: Whole Wheat Flour Oat Flour Whole Oats Baking soda Cinnamon Salt Raisins.
- Stir dry into wet to combine.
- Add raisins.
- Spoon, onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack, store in an airtight container or in zip close bag in freezer for longer period of time.

This is one of my favorite healthy cookie recipes because it's naturally sweetened, low calorie, low sodium, low fat and low cholesterol, provides vitamin A, potassium and is low in carbohydrates. --------------------------------------------------------------------
Oatmeal banana raisin cookies
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 2 cups dry oatmeal
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- dash of salt
- 1/4 cup walnuts-optional
- 1/4 cup raisins-optional
Directions:
- Slice bananas into chunks,and combine oatmeal, cinnamon, vanilla, walnuts and raisins.
- Mash bananas into oatmeal mixture.
- Place rounded teaspoons on parchment paper, press down slightly and bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
Makes approx. 12 cookies

These are healthy cookies because they provide manganese, vitamin B-6, thiamine and potassium. They contain no cholesterol, are low fat and low sodium as well.
This is one of my favorite healthy cookie recipes since my children enjoy it and it is a way to get them to eat healthy as well. --------------------------------------------------------
Flourless, no sugar peanut butter cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Natural Peanut Butter(see cook's note)
- 1 Cup Splenda or xylitol,
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 Cap Vanilla Extract
- A Pinch of Salt
Directions:
- Mix everything together.
- Place in 1 tbsp. mounds on a cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 deg. until lightly brown around the edges.
Makes 12 Peanut Butter Cookies (cook's note: Make sure to use natural peanut butter in healthy cookie recipes that contains no partially hydrogenated oil/no trans fat.)

These are healthy cookie recipes because they are low in sodium and are made with peanut butter, which provides protein, as well as the good (unsaturated) fats.
