My Favorite Alkaline Recipes
If you are on an alkaline diet, here are some of my favorite alkaline recipes. Eating alkaline foods has the potential to helping your body heal and help you to lose weight as well. Alkaline recipes tend to be light, satisfying and full of energy.
If you have a recipe of your own, you can post them on our readers forum so others can benefit from your own recipes as well.

Avocado Wrap:
Good for a lunch or you can use this as a healthful alkaline snack.
Ingredients:
- Avocado
- Alfalfa sprouts
- Tomato
- Cucumber
Directions:
Wrap all ingredients together in a sprouted tortilla or a whole wheat wrap.
For added flavor you can add hummus to the wrap.
Alkaline Margarita
This is one of my favorite alkaline recipes and could be used for celebrating without blowing your diet. Moreover you can use any other fruit to mix in according to your taste.Try different combinations.
Ingredients:
- 1 lemon,
- 2 limes,
- 4 sticks of celery,
- 1 cucumber,
a 1 inch stick of fresh root ginger.
You may also add Himalayan Salt
Directions:
- Juice the lemon and lime through a vegetable juicer.
- Add the ginger.
- Juice the cucumber and celery.
For a bit spicy taste add more ginger. Roll the edge of the cup with Himalayan salt and enjoy this healthy alkaline drinkEnjoy
Carrot & Courgette.
(A courgette is basically a summer green zucchini squash)
This is very tasty protein-full, powerhouse
of a meal! It can be used as a full meal. It is very energetic and mouthwatering. Enjoy the combination of colors,
textures as quinoa is a healthy, gluten free super grain.
It is superb and worth a try!
Ingredients:
- 2 servings of quinoa,
- a handful baby spinach leaves,
- 1 carrot,
- 1 Courgette,
- 1/2 avocado,
- sesame seeds,
- a lemon or lime,
- Olive oil or any blend of healthy oils such as Udo’s choice.
Directions:
- Cook quinoa and arrange the base on two plates.
Grate the carrot to form a stack,
- Repeat with the Courgette.
- Chop the spinach and avocado and sprinkle it on top and then top with sesame seeds, lemon juice & oil
And Voila! It’s done.
Alkaline Cumin Recipe
This new cumin recipe is pretty tasty, healthy and moreover
easy to make too.
Ingredients
- Half medium onion,
- 2 garlic cloves(crushed)
- A tsp. of coconut oil
- ground cumin,
- 85g brown basmati rice or wild rice
- 2 tins of chopped tomatoes,
- 290ml yeast free msg free vegetable stock
- a small bunch of parsley(chopped),
- sea salt
and
- ground black pepper,
- 4 tbsp. olive oil
Directions
- Cook the rice according to the instruction on the packet.
When the cooking is nearly finished chop all the vegetables and
then lightly sauté the garlic and onion without letting anything go brown. This is important. Do all this in a large saucepan for ease.
- Now throw in cumin and red tomatoes, rice and stock and cook for another six-eight minutes.
- Now add the parsley and serve in big bowls and drizzle with olive oil
In order to make this dish even more alkaline, you can substitute millet for the rice.
